The Jaguars ahead of the Colts. Ha!

During David Garrard's rookie year, I was at the Jaguars/Cowboys game at Texas Stadium with three friends. I was in the Jaguars family section of Texas Stadium because Dan Alexander gave his ticket allotment to us since one of my buddy's father was a huge Nebraska booster.

I was hitting on this really good-looking college girl seated behind me. Unfortunately, late in the first quarter, she eventually told me she was David Garrard's fiancee. Ruined the rest of the game for me.

I would say that Easterbrook is knowledgeable about football, though perhaps not at the journalistic level of Clayton or Pasquarelli or the Xs and Os level of Brian Billick or Norv Turner. He's certainly entertaining, and he seems to know a lot about football strategy.

Really, though, I was just thinking of an example, and he was the first one who came to mind.

I assume that by "best NFL writers," you mean "most entertaining and/or unique," which Easterbrook certainly is, and not "most knowledgeable and/or insightful regarding football itself," which Easterbrook probably is not.

I've sometimes wondered whether his (non-football) books would be worth a read, since I do enjoy his TMQ column.
