Friday Notes: July 20, 2007

I was going to put up a substantive post today, since I only did one twice this week, but obviously this isn’t one.

  • The reason for the lack of posting this week is that the bank auditors have been with us at work this week.  Thus, my schedule has been completely thrown off.  Thus, no time for posting stuff.  Oh, and some game came out this week…
  • I’ve been playing a lot of NCAA Football 08 (or is it NCAA 08 Football now?) this week in the time I haven’t been using to come up with stuff for the site.  As usual, EA has made some defensive adjustments to throw off what was working last year, and now I’m having trouble with my scrambling tendencies.  I got waxed by Florida in the only full game I’ve played, and I’m trying out Campus Legend mode now.  From what I understand, it’s different (better) on the Xbox 360 version, which allows you to play your high school’s state playoffs to determine your playing ability.  The PS2 version still has you go through mini-camp-style drills, so now I’m a freshman WR at Tennessee.  I plan to study a lot and go to social events, which should make things interesting when game time rolls around.
  • The Braves were swept by the Reds?  The same Reds who have had the worst record in the league?  Luckily, they’re still only 2.5 back after that bit of nonsense.  Oh, and if Barry Bonds breaks the home run record against the Braves, I think I might scream.

I’m hoping for more time to post next week.  Stay tuned.

  1. If you enter a special code, one of your UT social events can be pickup basketball with Tony McDaniel.

  2. Is there an option to select how many times (0-4) per day you want to go with Coach to Krispy Kreme?
